Lux Highlights the Montreal International Airport Duty Free Boutiques

Press Project

Lux, la revue d'éclairage recently featured the unique lighting design at the Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport Boutiques in Montreal, Quebec. Click here to see the article (article in French only).

Designed by architects Provencher Roy, the lighting scheme uses Lumenpulse Downlights Multi 3 in 3500K. The luminaires, which use flood optics, are integrated into the suspended ceiling beams, creating a uniformly illuminated, and unique, shop section to the international terminal.

The Provencher Roy team explains: "The lighting concept is a strong architectural element. The lighting concept was designed to integrate the floor plans and the movement axis of the passengers. The light axes act as guiding elements to capture the passersby's attention and create a disruption, encouraging them into the shop."
